Design help

Download and use your design

Check what your machine needs, find your download, and prepare the file for stitching.

Before buying

These are digital machine embroidery design files. No physical item is shipped.

On the design page, check the description, included file formats, and measured design sizes. Compare them with your machine manual before ordering. Formats and sizes vary by design.

If a format or size is not listed, contact us about the design before buying.

Download and unzip

After checkout, find your available downloads in My library. Paid designs become downloadable after payment is confirmed.

  1. Save the downloaded file somewhere you can find it on your device.
  2. If the file ends in .zip, use your device's Extract or Unzip option to open its contents. If you already have an embroidery file, skip this step.
  3. Choose an included embroidery file in a format your machine supports. Check the design page and your machine manual if you are unsure.
  4. Follow your machine manual to transfer and open the embroidery file. The transfer method depends on your machine.

If a download is unavailable or you cannot open a file, get help with your download. Include the design name and your order reference, if you have one.

File formats and machines

Check your embroidery machine's manual for its supported file format. Match it to the formats listed on the design page before ordering.

A ZIP file is a container for downloaded files. Extract it first, then look for the embroidery file your machine can read. A matching format is only one check: the design also needs to fit your machine's usable embroidery area.

Do not assume that every design includes every format or works with every machine. If the format you need is not listed, contact us before ordering.

Design sizes and hoops

Use the measured width and height shown under Design sizes on the design page. Where available, the production worksheet provides more design details.

Compare both measurements with the usable embroidery area for your machine and hoop, using the same units. The hoop's name or overall dimensions alone may not describe the area your machine can stitch.

Check your machine manual before buying. If measured dimensions are missing, read the description or contact us about that design before ordering.
